“Old fashioned” service – modern cleaning technology.
Old fashioned … or Vintage?
Vintage is definitely en vogue these days and at
A&G Chem-Dry, we’re quite partial to a bit of “harking back”
nostalgia ourselves. For example, we love our vintage 1940’s / 1950’s
Woods Ware tea set for our morning coffee and afternoon tea.
When it comes to television, we’re glued to “Home Fires”,
“Grantchester” and “Call the Midwife”.
On the “wireless”, soothing Serenade Radio takes takes us back to a bygone era
and listening to Paul Robey’s “Nostalgia & Nonsense” every Sunday on
BBC Radio Nottingham is part of our weekend routine.
Our customers often call the first-class customer service
we offer “old fashioned”, in the nicest possible way,
because they feel that courtesy, excellent workmanship and respect,
are sadly lacking it seems, in so much of modern life.
However, we prefer the term vintage as it seems to sum up
exactly, the high standards we strive to achieve.
vintage – noun
“The time that something of quality was produced.
Denoting something from the past of high quality,
especially something representing the best of its kind.”
In 2016, as fans of yesteryear vintage,
we can reminisce about and enjoy reliving the bits
of “the olden days” that appeal to us ….
and leave behind in the 1950’s
the bits that don’t!
