Rainy Days + Muddy Feet = Dirty Carpets?
Written by Jackie Clark on 14 Oct 2013
Where did the sunshine go?
After a few days of (what seems like) nothing but rain in our part of the East Midlands, those glorious days of summer seem like a very distant memory.
Keeping your Carpets, Rugs and Upholstery clean in weather like this can sometimes seem like a huge challenge, but we have some advice and tips to keep them looking their best
– whatever the weather decides to do!
Tip 1 – Prevention!
We’ve said it before – and no doubt we’ll say it again, but a great doormat, really is the first line of defence against dreaded dirt!
Tip 2 – Protection!
Our safe and non-toxic Carpet Protector, Repel, gives cleaned carpets a resistance to soiling that means muddy footprints, left to dry, can be vacuumed away without a trace! An absolute must for entrance halls, stairs …. in fact – throughout the home!
This video demonstrates how Chem-Dry’s fabric protector works and Repel does the same fantastic job for your carpets.
Tip 3 – Products!
The “Secret Weapon” in the fight against carpet grime, in between our visits is without a doubt, the Chem-Dry Spot Remover!
This effective formula removes most stubborn marks from your Carpets, Upholstery, Rugs and even Car Interiors too! The powerful carbonating solution works deep into fibres to lift soiling to the surface for effective removal. Keep a can (or two!) handy under the kitchen sink, or in the cupboard under the stairs for when Fido forgets to wipe his paws, or the kids get careless with their breakfast!
Tip 4 – Professionals! (Call us!)
Keeping your Carpets, Rugs and Upholstery properly maintained with a professional clean makes financial sense,
by extending the life of these expensive investments and delaying the need for replacements. Regular cleaning removes abrasive, damaging grit particles and soiling that vacuuming alone can’t handle. The frequency of cleaning by A&G Chem-Dry’s team of experts, will of course depend on the level of wear your home is subject to!
And finally …..
If you have one of these in your family
(we have several!)
you’ll need us on speed-dial this Autumn!
